How to prep for Free/Pro Tier Changes

In March, we announced some big changes that will be happening to the tier structures as early as 4/2 (  While we have passed that date, we are almost ready to drop this update (we’re still testing & fixing a few more things). We will inform you of when this will go live, come back to this blog post. The site will be down for a few hours as we work through these updates, but this is the last update about those changes.

If you are a free user and plan to stay on the free tier, please take some time to start clearing up your shop ASAP to prevent disruptions. Your account will be locked, and you won’t be able to view quotes and orders if you are over your allotted number of photos/products until you delete them to get under limit or go PRO. Here’s a video of what the new Free site will look like if you are over the allotted number of photos/products.


If you’re reading this BEFORE we’ve implemented the changes, here are some things you can do to prep ahead of time:

  • Gallery/Carousel/Product Images: ensure you are within the limits (3 carousel/5 gallery/1 per product).
    • As you remove photos from these areas, you can also start to delete those photos to get your total number of images closer to 15. Once you can delete products, you’ll be able to delete the photos that were attached to them.
  • Products: you can only have 5 products in your free account (listed or unlisted) at one time. 
    • If you have more than 5 products listed, you will risk losing quote/order functions for any order that has a deleted product. 
    • You will want to unlist any products you’ll be deleting to ensure that you only have up to 5 in your live shop. 
    • If a customer has a quote with you at the time of the update and you have to delete that product to be within limits, you will no longer have access to edit, accept payment, or even use the chat for that order once you are within the limits. 
    • Orders with deleted products will be locked and archived. 
    • Make a mental note of the products you’d like to delete. This will help you go through them much faster once the delete function is available. Delete for products will only be available within each product. In this update, no mass delete option will be available to avoid any errors- we really need everyone to be intentional with their choices and think things through. Once a product is deleted, there is no recovery. *Please note-delete function for Products currently will not allow you to delete if the product is attached to an order. Once we push the update, you will be able to delete products attached to orders.

If you’re reading this after your account has been locked, following the steps in this order will make this process go much smoother. 

  1. FREE users are limited to 5 products. Under PRODUCTS, delete all products you won’t be needing, because you can’t delete photos until those are unlinked from your products. If you’re an existing user with over 5 products and want to unlock your account (especially for your clients who may still order if you have more than 5 products in your shop), this is a very important step. Make sure you have just 1 photo per product per the FREE tier limits.
  2. Under APPEARANCE, go through your Gallery & Carousel to remove what you don’t need to conform to photo limits. Read THIS POST for best practices related to your Gallery and Carousel.
  3. Under IMAGES, delete photos until you are under limit.

    Hello! My account has been locked, but I am nearly certain I am abiding by all the image restrictions. Can you help me understand what I need to do to get it unlocked? I have 1 image per product (only one product), 4 in my gallery, and 2 in my carousel.
